Coming from Dublin Ireland, Ron Phelan has a diverse musical background, playing jazz, manouche, balkan music, Irish and European folk, West African rhythms, Cuban son and Brazilian salsa.

He has worked as an educator, a composer, a musical director and as a session musician with some of the UK's best musicians as well as theatre and circus companies.

He currently lives in Totnes, Devon.
